Abdul Samad Rabiu was born on August 4, 1960, in Kano, Nigeria. He comes from a family with a rich business heritage; his father, Khalifah Isyaku Rabiu, was one of Nigeria's foremost industrialists in the 1970s and 1980s. Rabiu studied Economics at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, USA, which laid the foundation for his future business endeavors.
