The remarkable business acumen of Jubril Adewale Tinubu, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Oando Plc, a premier oil and gas firm, was celebrated during the annual awards event organized by Daily Telegraph Publishing Company Limited, publishers of New Telegraph newspapers, at Oriental Hotels, Lagos on Friday, February 21, 2025.


Though the event has come and gone, the memories of that enchanting evening remain vivid for Tinubu, who received the New Telegraph Investor/Transaction of the Year 2024 award. When his name was announced, the hall erupted with joy, signaling widespread approval of the well-deserved honor.


Tinubu was recognized by the organizers for leading his team to successfully acquire Agip Oil Company for $783 million in August 2024. Known for his keen eye for opportunity and impeccable timing, Tinubu has spent the last 30 years positioning Oando Plc as a formidable force in the oil and gas industry.
